Permanent Weight Loss
What it Takes!
Losing weight and keeping it off doesn't have to be a chore. Your body naturally knows how heavy it should be, the only reason you may be over-weight or obese is because of how you're treating your body and what you're feeding your body. To permanently lose weight and keep it off you're going to have to change your eating and lifestyle habits. Over the long term this doesn't require the use of weight loss products, however in the short term you may find weight loss products like diet pills or
diet patches
can give you an edge to your weight loss - keeping you motivated.
The most important first step to beginning a weight loss program is simply admitting you need to change your ways. Now don't take this lightly, this is HUGE! All too often I see people start a weight loss program without thinking it through. I've seen way too many people think they can go on this diet or that diet for two or three months, lose 35 lbs then go back to eating and living the way they always have. Well I've got some bad news for you - you can't go back to living the way you always have, that's what got you into trouble the first time. Instead you have to slowly introduce yourself to a healthy diet plan and lifestyle that you can live with.

The second step to beginning a weight loss program is finding a diet or diet plan that's right for you. Many such plans can be purchased on-line, I would personally recommend the
"Sun Slim Diet"
by Dr. Joy Siegrist or Eating Alive
by Dr. Jonn Matsen (ND). These two diet plans explain how the body digests its food and why certain foods need to be avoided, why you shouldn't eat certain foods with other foods, and the order in which you should eat food. The interesting thing about these two diet plans is that they're not intended to be followed for only a short period, instead these plans are intended to be followed for life. And trust me when I say the food recipes in these diet plans are yummy!
The third step is to get outside! You notice I didn't say exercise, I'm trying to avoid the word exercise. I always cringe when people say exercise more to lose weight - yuck! No! Exercise is such a bad word. Whenever I hear someone say exercise I have visions of a dark dungy gym with faceless souls walking their life away on a treadmill or some other torture device. While some people may enjoy such activities, I really doubt they're the ones reading this article (am I right?). So back to the point, instead of saying "exercise" I like to instead say "get outside." What I mean by this is just that, get outside and have fun! Do whatever you want, just by being outside you're going to find an activity you enjoy, whether that's walking, hiking, swimming, playing golf, watching a little leaguers game, flying a kite, fishing, playing Frisbee, joining a community soft ball league, mowing the lawn, walking your dog, walking your neighbor's dog, biking, the list goes on and on ...
The fourth (and optional) step is to use weight loss products such as diet pills or
diet patches
to give you that extra edge to help you achieve your weight loss goals faster. I truly believe you can achieve your weight loss goals without such weight loss products but I know in todays society we like to see quick results. Therefore I feel it appropriate to mention them here.
Well that's it! If you remember anything from this article remember this, to enjoy permanent weight loss you must change your eating habits and lifestyle. The way you've been eating and living is what got you into trouble to begin with. The program I outlined above is a simple four part program that may at first be hard to follow because habits are difficult to break, but keep at it. Take a baby step everyday, whether that little step is avoiding dessert or avoiding a chocolate bar at lunch. Optionally you may like to try weight loss products to get you started but keep in mind these are only intended to be used for short periods of time.
- Good Luck!
